What's NEW? 2022
Thanks---Skip

Hurricane Harvey or not I will be there! Kathy
Hello, Karen I am sorry, but I will not be attending the 75th reunion of Park High School. Will you ever have a reunion that will not play golf? I do not play. An old-time sock hop would be more fun! I write poetry and children's stories, and I am going to online college for Complementary and Alternative Health. I am a senior this year. I will receive a Bachelor's degree in June 2018. Best regards, Patti Pierce (Patricia Merlo)
Comments: Wish I could be there to celebrate our 75th birthday together but, I can't... so have a blast and "may you stay forever young" Sally
Sue Tohm Bolander' message copied and pasted I am sad to miss seeing my classmates at the reunion but I will be visiting the Maritime Islands during that time. This has been a year filled with travel: cross country skiing in Banff and Sun Valley, a service trip with Sierra Club at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, and two weeks in Russia in June. My health is good and I am trying to squeeze in all I can while I can. Life is good! Sue Tohm Isely Bohlander
Got it! Not sure I can attend. I do have a room though . New baby and others , so too many places I have to go! Ann

Dear Karen I will not be attending the reunion again this year. Unfortunately my health does not allow me to travel. I will be looking forward to the wonderful photos and comments from the students. You all have done a fantastic job with these reunions and should be commended on a fantastic job well done. It's so wonderful to see and read about all the students etc. It brings back so many memories. Hugs to all of the students and you who have put this together. Take care and God bless you all. Go panthers. Lovingly, Gail Severson Clark
Hi Karen: I was going to try to make it, but can't do it. Sorry, my disappointment. Thanks. Al Draves
Hi, it has been a busy year, not in a good way. A new cancer came up and took up a great deal of my time. I was hoping to make this year a big travel year. Still I am happy to be here and hope I will be able to play tennis again at some point. I would love to have more info on the rest of our group, since I will not be able to attend this time. I will try to look at info which I am really bad at and call if I need help. All myinfo is the same. I promise to come on the 80th or any time before that. Keep up the good work. Dotty Butts
I can't make it. Sorry. Hope the group has a great time!

I will miss not playing in the golf scramble, but look forward t seeing all Friday and Saturday. Bill Nelson
I am so looking forward to our 75th birthday reunion and celebrating together. 75? How did that happen? And we all look so young for our age. By the time the reunion comes around, I will be retired from the company I founded 33 years ago - a move two years in the planning. It's a good story - you can read about it on www.improbableplayers.org. My adopted hometown, Watertown, MA named 08/08/17 as Lynn Bratley Day. One of those bittersweet things you just want to share with your parents. So I'm glad I have you to share it with: http://watertown.wickedlocal.com/news/20170816/watertown-artist-and-producer-lynn-bratley-honored
Hi this is Ellen Arneson Wagner Hope everything is going great for you, it is great for me. I will not be attending the reunion I hope you have a great turn out. I was wondering if Joan of Arc still in the area of the big front doors and the library. I still have my Kipi yearbook. Let me know how the reunion goes and how big of a turnout you got. Have fun
Kathy Foss Jacobs also sends the following comments: "Enjoying reading all the info, thanks for all your hard work!"
Copies & pasted from Larry's entry to the Blog: Larry Bergeson on July 3, 2017 2:58 PM Hi all, As I won't be able to be at the 75th birthday party thought I'd drop a short note. Haven't been to a reunion since the first one in 1970. Still alive and married to Gilda Bakus (Park class of 1966) for almost 49 years. One son Todd who is a pilot and a Lt.Col. with the Tennessee Air Guard and also with Delta Airlines. Was at SC Johnson from 1960 till 1999 going from the factory floor to International R&D during that time. I am currently working on my sixth passport having filled many with travels through SCJ. Been to Africa, South America and through out Asia for the company and also spent 1964/1967 in the USAF where I visited Viet Nam, Thailand and Phillipines during the 16 months I spent overseas. Currently Gilda and I are living in Florida where we have been for the past 18 years. Trips to visit our son and two Grandsons occupy us and we also enjoy Cruising. Cannot believe that I am still alive after all these years. Anyone wants to chat please send a note to the above email address. Best regards to all of you, Larry Bergeson (Bergy)
Vicky and I will not make the reunion as we will be in Europe. Hope you all are in good health and do have a great time.
Sorry I will not be attending the Party as Al and I are traveling to Spain at that time. Have fun, as I know you will
I will attend and look forward to seeing all my classmates who attend.
Sorry, I was hoping to attend this year, but plans were already made for NYC. I enjoy all of the pictures and updates. Have a great time.
Thanks for the information. My wife and I will be at the pizza party. Looking forward to it.
thanks for the invite and the update too. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend. Dick Van Dyke
Thank you for the notice and invitation. I will not be able to attend. However , you all have a great time. Mary-Ellen Daubert Felts
Cannot Attend
Thanks Karen for the update, but we are now residing in Ft. Myers, Fl. and will not be able to attend. Have a great time.
Got it
Hi Karen, I would love to attend the reunion but will have to send regrets . I am doing well and will be enjoying Maine with my family. We spend several months a year up there, the rest in Charleston South Carolina. I had a nice visit this Spring with Sam Rogers who visited me in Charleston. Turned 75 in June. Doing well and keeping busy doing architecture. John H. Williams Charleston, South Carolina
Sorry I won't be able to make it. Hope you all have a wonderful time.
As much as I would like to attend I am running the Chicago Marathon in early October and am reluctant to make two trips to the midwest from Arizona within such a short time of one another. Since I'm still active with my business it is not practical for me to make an extended stay and do this all in one trip. Guess I'll just have to wait until 2020 when you will most likely plan a 60th bash. Needless to say I wish you all a good time. I would like to see everyone and would have liked to participate in the golf. Maybe next time. All the best, Chuck Sorensen
I get the emails, thanks for all the work everyone does to keep us in the loop. I hope to make the 75th, but have never missed the opening of Grouse season in 44 years ......so plan to hunt for a couple of hours Sat am and then head down......
2017 - This is probably the best place to post a message. Karen
Darlene and I will not be able to attend the get together as we will be somewhere in the Rocky Mountains at the time. Hope you all have a great time.
I am excited about our Birthday Bash but sad to see that many cannot make it !!! I guess there are some of us that cherrished our years in the the Halls of Washington Park High, even though Mr. McKintosh took me to the principals office many times for skipping his class and I found it more rewarding driving around in the 1955 Buick and chasing all those guys from St. Cats, I sooooooo enjoy seeing everyone on these wonderful Get Togethers! I will be there all the way from TEXAS!!!!!! Kathy
Comments: Sorry we will be unable to attend. Stuck here in Olive Branch Mississippi with two 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog puppies who would not travel well. Regards to all for surviving so long. Special shout out to my long time friends Jerry Franke, Dan Amundson, and those that will not be attending, Lance Anastasio (lives in Florida) Jerry Kreuser (lives in Switzerland) The photos brought back memories of my old departed close friends Dave Witipil (boating accident in Alaska) Larry Seager (died on a mountain top in Arizona so I'm told, Dan Foley (unknown) Valdis Jaunkalnietis (unknown) Have fun and enjoy your good fortune to still be around to celebrate.
Hi Karen, Have now permanently settled in Roatan, Honduras. Will not be able to attend the 75 party as we don't go back to the States. We absolutely love it here. Also, it's a wonderful place to vacation. Come visit. Sincerely, Norm Jensen I just watched these movies of where Norm is living. Wow! Norm looks the same Additional note from Norm & Maggie: Roatan is one of the Bay Islands approximately 30 miles north of mainland Honduras. It is approximately 30 miles long and 2 to 3 miles wide - mountainous and beautiful. People are extremely friendly and helpful and most speak English. The island is developing rapidly, but we were able to find a remote little spot. This is the link to movies we have made since we first bought to show the development of our property and adventures in Roatan. http://queperfecto.pbwiki.com This link works now.
Jeanne spoke with Ken Mee today and Ken regrets he will not be attending, however he is doing well. We'll miss him, but are glad to hear from him. Several classmates have asked about him, therefore this report :-)
Karen, sorry to say we will not be able to attend as a family commitment has come up. Great job to all reunion committee. A lot of hard work. Hope to see all @ the 60th. Dean & Karen Theos
I inquired how Ken Mazmanian is doing. Jan, his sister-in-law said Ken is doing good at Racine Commons on Corporate Drive. The west building offers more intensive assistance. This is an assisted living facility. He is doing pretty well. He has been diagnosed with Lymphoma for which he has been receiving treatment. As a result, he has had several hospitalizations and pneumonia. His memory is spotty. If someone asks how he is doing, he always replies "Getting better every day".
Hi all, posted a longish note on the blog page so I wont repeat it here. Still cannot believe I'm still here after all these years. Feel free to send an email. Larry
Thanks for the invitation to the 75th Birthday Party. However, I won't be able to come. I booked a condo in Florida for the month of Sept. already back in April. Have fun.
Looking forward to seeing everybody! Just read the string of messages and find there was a lot more going on at Park High than I knew about. Wouldn't you love to go back in time for just a day? Preferably during basketball season the year we went to state. And GeForce just a day. See you this weekend.
Hey Karen, Many thanks for all you do arranging the reunions! Since I turned 80 yesterday-can't believe we are becoming Octogenarians-I really hope to see you at the 22 reunion Best Regards, Gloria HessaA
Erika and I were looking forward to the reunion; however, personal reasons will not allow us to attend. With God's grace we will attend the 60th reunion. Mark and Erika Bondo

Kathy: Your check has been received and I'm having a problem with my entries showing up on the Who Will Be there List. I added 15 but some just aren't showing. I'm sure it will be corrected soon. Added: Suzie & Karl, Penny, Gus & Jan, Vincent, Gene, Donna Anderson, Sheila, Joan Q, John Guenther, Lynn & Chuck, Ken & Jacque, Josephine & Sue Ellen, Karen & Ron, Judy Spencer & Kathy & James.
